Welcome to HEI Schools Happenings, our newsletter about recent events at HEI Schools in Helsinki and around the world. This time we've put together a collection of happenings from this autumn for you to enjoy!
A greeting from our new CEO
We have some exciting news to share as Inkeri Aimonen has been appointed as the new CEO of HEI Schools! Inkeri has been with the company since 2018 and has been leading our growth efforts successfully ever since. She is also one of the shareholders of the company.
"One person alone can do very little and hence I am so proud and grateful of our team in Finland. HEI Schools HQ team is full of professionals who are motivated by our mission to provide high-quality early education to as many children and families as possible. Together we are set to do great things for the children and families in the HEI Schools communities around the world!".
New HEI Schools locations
Our global family is expanding with two new HEI Schools Learning Centers in South-East Asia: one in Phuket, Thailand and another one in Vientiane, Laos.
HEI Schools Phuket in Thailand will be opening in 2023 making it the second HEI Schools Learning Center in Thailand. Welcome to the HEI family, Phuket and the operator Kajonkiet School Group!
We're happy to add a whole new country on the HEI map with HEI Schools Vientiane in Laos! The learning center will be opening in 2024, making it a great addition to the HEI Schools network in the region.
Touring South East Asia
If you happened to be in Thailand, Malaysia or Singapore this autumn, you might have bumped into our HEI team in one place or another! Our partnerships manager Heikki was traveling in the region for nearly a month, joined also by Professor Lasse Lipponen and our CEO Inkeri Aimonen.
The "HEI tour" consisted of several HEI Schools events, including receptions organised together with the Finnish Embassies and Business Finland in Bangkok and in Kuala Lumpur and a conference with our partner SEGI University and Colleges in Malaysia, all of which attracted an active crowd interested in learning more about Finnish early education and business opportunities with HEI Schools in the region.
HEI Schools in the news
HEI Schools was also in the limelight in the press and some great articles were published in local media both in Malaysia and in Thailand. HEI Schools also made the news in Australia recently, having been selected as the ECE provider for a major real estate development project in Adelaide.
It's been an active season for our learning centers around the world with different theme days, local celebrations, open house and family events, to name a few!
HEI Schools Bangkok
The main theme of this year at HEI Schools Bangkok is sustainability and the local team has created the HEI Garden project for children to learn and explore. 🌱
HEI Schools San Rafael
The HEI Schools community participated with great enthusiasm and joy in the HEI Family Olympics organized by the teachers. Muy buen trabajo! 🏅
